Indoor Projects

Here is an array of projects and other works that have not only allowed me to express my thoughts on form follows function, but also create iconic objects.

Industrial Furniture, Interior Design and Renovation Projects
Original hardware

Refurbished Vintage Industrial Furniture
Here is an example of a repurposed 100 year old lumber cart found in an abandoned casket factory that was then after many years of use modified into a coffee table.

Mantlepiece from 1871

Painted Corten steel look

The „Mancave“ Project
A modern stove and masoned chimney was fitted right into and around this cast iron Victorian mantlepiece from 1871. Another find that found its way into a new life.
The entire room was then renovated with new tiles, wall and floorboards.

Wall Unit, on Another Level

Minimalist?

Digital Media Point

Not everyone wants a huge wall unit stretch across the room. This type of construction is only e.g. 30cm deep, allows for a variable width and individual divisions. Hide all annoying cables and/or electronics but yet with easy access.

Locker Wardrode

Deemed dead…
Stripped to the bone

BVG Bus Depot Locker
Just in time… this locker was on its way to the junkyard when I was informed about its destiny. (1950’s)

Pub Culture/ Kreuzberger Kneipenkultur

Phenomenal details
…are the game changer

Dining and Gaming Table
This table came out a pub in „SO36“ Berlin that close its doors for good. After decades of abuse, it smelled like stale smoke and was covered with scratches and bubble gum. (1920’s- 1930’s)

Medicine-Dining Cabinet

Multiple layers of paint…
…stripped to the bone

Medicine-Dining Cabinet
I found this object online in Bitterfeld. The paint removal was an issue and more work than expected. The result reassured the effort. (1930’s)

Bathroom Vanity

The table was cut in half and the back frame refitted. The remains of the tabletop was repurposed for the bottom shelf.

Extended front legs with iron posts
An Ikea sink enhanced the vintage look

Indonesian Fake Vintage
This object caught me off-guard when I bought it. Nevertheless I made the best of it and transformed into this vanity for a bathroom. (2000’s?)

The Bicycle Shelf

An elegant way to highlight your pride and joy.
I saw this concept at a bike fair several years ago and just had to make my own version.

Solid wood front
Opel Standard (1926)
Open sesame
