Looking for am awning/ tent mount for VW California models or vans with rails? Not everyone wants a fat awning mounted on the side of their van.
With special brackets and extendable rods you can mount and stiffen a simple awning with the kedder or piping to your van. My awning was made from vintage canvas. (Telescopic rods from Vickywood)
Universale Markise oder Zelt…
Auf der Suche nach eine Markisen- bzw. Zeltbefestigungen für VW-California-Modelle oder Van mit Kedderschiene? Nicht jeder möchte eine klobige Markise an der Seite seines Vans anbringen.
Mit speziellen Halterungen und ausziehbaren Stangen kannst du eine einfache Markise mit eine Kederleiste am Van befestigen und versteifen. Meine Markise wurde aus Vintage-Zeltstoff gefertigt. (Teleskopstange von Vickywood)

The pattern for the opening was quickly designed with CAD and cut to fit. The material used is Forex 3mm PVC-hard foam board and a 20 x 20cm grill from a local hardware shop.
Note: a heatwave showed that the PVC can warp with temperatures above 35°C. 🙁

Die Schablone für die Öffnung wurde schnell mit CAD entworfen und passgenau zugeschnitten. Als Material wurden eine 3 mm dicke Forex-PVC-Hartschaumplatte und ein 20 x 20 cm großes Gitter aus einem örtlichen Baumarkt verwendet.

Notiz: eine Hitzewelle hat gezeigt, dass das PVC bei 35°C sich verziehen kann. 🙁
